GOTS-Certified Materials

 

What It Means & Why We Source It

 

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the world’s leading textile processing standard for organic fibers. But more than just a label, it’s a comprehensive benchmark for ecological and social responsibility throughout the textile supply chain.

 

While we are not yet GOTS-certified as a brand due to the size of our production and independent nature of our seamstresses, all of our fabrics and nearly all the raw materials we source including our silks, cottons, threads, and care labels, are independently GOTS-certified. We select these materials intentionally to align with our values of transparency, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and quality.

 

Fabric

 

We source luxurious GOTS-certified organic cottons and silks from suppliers who meet strict environmental and labor standards. These fabrics are free from harmful pesticides, grown under responsible land management, and processed without toxic chemicals. Our Italian silk, in particular, is unmatched in its balance of craftsmanship and environmental care.

 

Dyes

 

Every hue in our garments is achieved using low-impact, GOTS-compliant dyes. These eco-friendly colorants avoid heavy metals, carcinogens, and wastewater contamination, making them safer for both the planet and the people who wear and produce them.

 

Thread & Elastic

 

Often overlooked, we take just as much care in sourcing the small details. Our stitching threads and internal elastics are GOTS-certified too, ensuring even the unseen parts of each piece meet the highest environmental standards.

 

Labels & Tags

 

From the woven garment labels to the care instructions sewn inside, we use only GOTS-certified, organically processed materials. This level of attention means each component is held to the same ethical and ecological benchmark as the fabric itself.

We're working towards full certification in the future but for now, we remain proud to prioritize GOTS-certified inputs as part of our larger commitment to responsible design.
